This herbal throat spray is formulated to help soothe sore throats and throat irritation associated with colds and seasonal discomfort.
The formula combines echinacea with traditional herbal ingredients including sage, licorice, marshmallow root, fennel, and propolis to provide soothing support for the throat.
Marshmallow root and licorice are traditionally used in herbal medicine for their demulcent properties, helping coat and soothe irritated tissues. Sage and echinacea have traditionally been used in herbal preparations intended for throat and upper respiratory support.
The convenient spray format makes it easy to use at home or while travelling.
Ingredients
Medicinal ingredients (each 1 ml contains):
- Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis) root — 0.33 ml
- Whey (Bos taurus — milk) — 0.32 ml
- Propolis (Apis mellifera — beehive) — 0.06 ml
- Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia) root and rhizome — 0.03 ml
- Sweet fennel (Foeniculum vulgare subsp. vulgare, subsp. dulce) seed — 0.03 ml
- Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root and stolon — 0.03 ml
- Sage (Salvia officinalis) leaf — 0.02 ml
Non-medicinal ingredients: Organic alcohol, distilled water, and organic vegetable glycerine.
Suggested Use
Adults: Spray 3–4 times (0.5–0.7 ml) into the back of the throat every 1–2 hours as needed. Take a few hours before or after other medications.
Cautions & Warnings
Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are allergic to bee products, poplar tree products, or balsam of Peru; if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; if you have a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, leukosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, and/or HIV infection; if you have an autoimmune disorder; or if you are taking immunosuppressants.
Consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
Use with caution if you are allergic to cow’s milk products.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are allergic to anethole or plants of the Apiaceae (carrot) family.
Known adverse reactions: Hypersensitivity or allergic reactions have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use.
