What is the difference between Floradix® and Floravit®?
Both are Salus liquid iron formulas made with ferrous gluconate, selected herbal extracts, fruit juice concentrates and added B vitamins. Floradix® is vegetarian, lactose-free and alcohol-free. What type of iron is used in Salus liquid iron formulas?
Floradix® and Floravit® provide elemental iron as ferrous gluconate. The formulas also contain B vitamins and nutrient-rich herbal and fruit extracts. According to the authorized Canadian Floradix® claim, the formula helps prevent iron deficiency anemia, maintain good health and assist in the formation and proper function of red blood cells.
Can children and adults take the same amount of Salus liquid iron?
No. Recommended amounts vary by age and product. For example, the Canadian Floravit® directions provide different daily amounts for adults and adolescents aged 14 and older, children aged 10–14, children aged 5–9 and children aged 2–4. Always follow the directions on the specific Canadian product label and use the included measuring cap.
