Earth Day 2026 Update: Healthtree's Growing Impact: Over 17,524 Trees and 8,745 Kelp Restored with Veritree

🌳 Forest Restoration Milestones

Together, we've achieved significant milestones in our tree-planting initiatives:

• Total Trees Planted: 17,524
• Carbon Sequestration: An estimated 15,957 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to removing 3,469 cars from the road for a year
• Land Reforested: 9 hectares of land, approximately the size of 352 tennis court
• Employment Impact: 87 workdays provided to local tree planters

These trees are being planted across diverse ecosystems, including Acadian, Interior Douglas, and Mangrove forests, each playing a vital role in biodiversity and climate resilience.

🌊 Kelp Restoration Efforts

In addition to forest restoration, we're contributing to marine ecosystem health through kelp restoration:

• Total Kelp Planted: 8,745 strands of kelp

• Estimated Yield: 535 kgs 

• Ocean Area Restored: Restored 23,533 sq feet of ocean area

Kelp forests are crucial for marine biodiversity and act as significant carbon sinks, helping to mitigate climate change effects.
